One of my favorite emails this week is BCBGGeneration email featuring Rihanna and her latest love: Gavin Jeans. The “Shop the Look” messaging encourages to mirror celebrity’s iconic style hence get everyone in online shopping trouble. Rihanna totally rocks the pants and I’m sure mainstream culture has noticed.
Love this 80s Purple New Year Resolutions Sweepstakes Email. It reminds me of Lululemon’s Manifesto. What a clever way to engage with the brand’s fans, take interest in their New Year’s resolutions, inspire with ideas and as a result increase brand visibility in the most non-direct way. Their Facebook page is blowing up with inspiring New Year’s declarations and positive energy. Thank you 80s Purple for an inspiring, non-promotional email and congratulations on your campaign.
Sometimes single product shots don’t do the justice especially when you’re talking about something simple like “the new basic Tees”. This is when lifestyle photography comes into play and puts the idea into context. I love this Urban Outfitters email because it tells a story and it’s not trying to force another basic tee down my throat.

This Prada fragrance was gifted to me and It’s become my new favorite.
According to Prada the perfume is named after the “seductive and joyful girl who is running wild”. Based on the Prada Candy ad video that is probably true (see below). I’d also add that the girl is most likely silly and likes to flash her pink undies.
The fragrance notes are listed as musks, caramel and an overdose of benzoin. It’s quite powdery so if you’re a fan of fresh, light scents this is probably not for you.
